The articles selected for this issue, from various countries, reveal, throughout their pages, a trace of the barriers that educational systems still face today. On this occasion, the results of ten investigations that address problems in the history of education are brought together. These were carried out in different national and regional contexts, thereby demonstrating that educational phenomena are not understood in a homogeneous manner. These texts offer a wealth of information derived from geographical and cultural diversity, as they come from countries such as Spain, Argentina, Cuba and Mexico.
